In 2023 we launched a new website continuing our eCommerce evolution, updating the look and feel and offering new and improved ways of doing business with us. Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions. How do I register for a web account? 

If you are not currently an Auer Steel customer please fill out a business application if you would like to become a customer. Once this is completed and submitted to us, someone from our credit department will contact you with next steps. 

If you are currently an Auer Steel customer and would like create a web account please call our Milwaukee Branch (414) 463-1234 and ask to speak to someone from the Web Team or email us at [email protected].

Will I still be able to use the app and scanning feature?

Yes, we launched a new Auer app alongside our new website. Delete the previous app on your device. Go to the App Store (Apple iOS Devices) or Google Play (Android Devices) to download the new Auer app. Once it is installed on your device simply login with your username (email address) and password, or follow the steps above to reset your password the first time you log in. All of the current features you enjoy will be available within the new app including the scanning feature. This will appear to the right of the global search bar when searching the app.

What should I do if I have a web account, but my login information is not accepted?

If you are a customer that has logged into www.auersteel.com since October of 2018 please select Reset Password and enter in your current username (email address) for www.auersteel.com, check your email and follow the instructions to set up your new password. Always remember to check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive the email to your inbox. 

If you have not logged in since October of 2018 or encounter issues please call our Milwaukee Branch (414) 463-1234 and ask to speak to someone from the Web Team or email us at [email protected].

It seems like I keep getting automatically logged out of your site more quickly than I would prefer, how long can I remain logged in to auersteel.com?

After 8 hours of inactivity you will be logged out due to security settings designed to keep customers information safe and secure on our website. 

What if there is an employee in my company that is not currently a web user but would like to set up an online account?

Please email [email protected] to have someone from the Web Team set up access. If you or someone at your company had Super User access on our previous website that user type is now called Administrator

Current Administrators can access this within the menu where your name appears, select User Administration and from there you will be able to add web users from your company and set the type of access each employee will have. If this is a feature you would like to have access to please email the Web Team at [email protected].

If I have multiple accounts with Auer Steel, can I login with one username and access all of my accounts? 

Yes, when logging in you may be prompted to select your Bill-To and you can choose your account from that drop down menu. Once you are logged in you can switch between accounts by hovering over your name and selecting Change Customer in the menu option. 

If you log in and only see a single account number under the “Select Bill-To” section, please contact the eCommerce Team at [email protected] and we will work with you to get this set up.
