- Best Practice: Install on soft or softened water. The 720 will work on hard or soft, but hard water will require additional annual maintenance. An inline scale reducing filter can also be installed to extend service intervals.
- Soft or softened water is recommended for all evaporative humidifiers to help prevent excessive scale buildup.
- If you have to install on hard water, the orifice should be replaced annually or as needed.
